We all know Tati Westbrook’s following has skyrocketed since her 43-minute Bye Sister video was released, but other channels are also benefiting from the James Charles drama that broke last week.
What’s up guys? It’s Sinead de Vries with Clevver News here to talk about other YouTubers benefiting from the Tati and James scandal.
Tati’s YouTube channel has grown over 4 million subscribers since she publicly unfriended James Charles. The video itself has over 35 million views, and to say it has made waves would be an understatement.
This scandal is all everyone is talking about right now and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.
And while James has lost over 3 million subscribers, ouch, other channels are seeing HUGE spikes in their views and subscribers since the sister scandal went down.
I mean, there were over 600 YouTube videos created about James since last week, SIX-HUNDRED!
And what’s the most popular video posted? A live stream showing James’s followers dropping and Tati’s growing.
Not gonna lie, I haven’t turned this one off since the drama started. I can’t look away.
And I’m not alone, every time I check tens of thousands of people are tuned in to this stream.
The next most viewed video regarding this scandal is PewDiePie’s video analyzing the situation which has racked up almost 13 million views.
Which even for him, is a lot of views in 2 days.
YouTube drama channels like Here For The Tea and Tea Spill are also benefiting from this scandal big time.
But Drama Alert’s video explaining the scandal is raking in the views like no other. It is officially one of his most viewed videos EVER with over 4.6 million views.
And the buzz around this drama isn’t just on YouTube. There have been thousands of Tweets and Twitter videos about what’s going on between James and Tati. But the most popular is from a user called Kiwi Baby who chimed in on the controversy early.
He tweeted quote, “TATI CAME FOR JAMES CHARLES’ THROAT, I AM SCREAMING”
It’s currently got over 225,000 likes and over 43,000 retweets and counting…
And one of the most popular videos circulating on Instagram is this one of him with Kim Kardashian from an episode of Keep Up with the Kardashians.
Unfortunately, after all this, I don’t think he will be appearing on the show again any time soon.
