It’s been more than a year since “13 Reasons Why” dropped its second season and now it’s finally almost time for season 3. We just got a trailer, release date and a TITLE…. Yeah, I’m totally freaking out.
What’s up y’all? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and Netflix just revealed that season 3 of “13 Reasons Why” will drop on August 23.
The same day that Taylor Swift drops her new album… are you kidding me?!
That’s almost too much good content for one day.
Welp, I know what I’ll be doing that whole weekend…
Locking myself in my room, binge watching 13 Reasons Why, then sobbing listening to Taylor’s album while simultaneously reading her diary entries!
And I weirdly enough, I can’t wait.
The 13 Reasons Why trailer came with one big question: Who killed Bryce Walker?
Which appears to be the central plot of the third season, and I’m shook over this.
That’s right, the most controversial character on the show, Bryce, is dead and there seems to be many questions surrounding his death.
Like who did it? What do they know? And who was involved?
It looks like this season is going to be a full on murder mystery.
Wait hold up, did you see that look Clay just gave and the breath he took? … He must know something!
We also got a look at the show’s new character, Ani, who is played by newcomer Grace Saif.
And apparently she will play a large role in telling the season’s story.
In case you forgot, Hannah Baker, aka Katherine Langford narrated the show in the past, but from the looks and sound of this trailer, Ani is the show’s new narrator.
And I have to mention, that this is the first totally Hannah-less season, although I am sure she will be mentioned.
The trailer ends with The clip ends with a prompt for viewers to go to “WhoKilledBryceWalker.com,” which only work on mobile devices, to start their own investigation into the disappearance of the show’s most controversial character.
I went over and tried it, and if you’re a super fan, I suggest going to try it out too.
And 13 Reasons Why fans will also be happy to know that Season 3 will not be the end for the series.
The show is confirmed for a 4th and final season, which they’ve apparently already started working on.
But for now, I’m just counting down the days until August 23rd.
