2020 BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive – New Photos of the ALPINA Green Color
From our latest test drive, we bring you some new photos of the 2020 BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive featured in the ALPINA Green color. The exclusive paint finishes in ALPINA Blue metallic and ALPINA Green metallic (as seen here) are hallmark feature reserved solely for BMW ALPINA automobiles. The new 2020 B7 is the 6th generation full-size performance-luxury model from ALPINA and the 3rd generation of B7 to be available in the U.S. It is based on the recently unveiled 7 Series Facelift.
Therefore, the BMW kidney grill has grown in size and together with new slim headlights makes up the polarizing front end appearance. A new front bumper with functional air intakes, free-floating ALPINA lettering and horizontal character lines works in conjunction with the rear spoiler in order to reduce lift.
Inside, the hand-finished using exceptionally high-quality LAVALINA leather, the sports steering wheel with blue and green stitching is captivating at the very first touch due to its luxurious feel. Contemporary Piano lacquer or classic Myrtle Luxury Wood interior trim, door sills with blue illumination, ALPINA B7 model inscriptions and an individual production plaque are examples of exclusive equipment features.
ALPINA has thoroughly revised the B7 in the engine compartment where the engineers spent considerable effort to enhance the already amazing 4.4 liter V8 biturbo. The new 2020 BMW ALPINA B7 xDrive features larger diameter propellers in its turbos, for better torque down low, tweaked engine management and newer intercoolers.
The car can now rely on 600 HP and 590 lb-ft of torque (800 Nm) from as low as 2,000 RPM instead of the previous 3,000 RPM. The power upgrade shows in the acceleration numbers as well as it will do 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill 0.1 seconds faster than the outgoing car, at 3.5 seconds.
Out of the nearly 1,800 ALPINAs produced annually, a few hundred units carry the B7 badge, and most of them find a home in the United States.
