COVID-19: PM tries to reassure public over France freight ban

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said the UK is working with France’s President Macron to allow freight hauliers to resume crossing the English Channel.

The PM urged the public to ‘continue to shop normally’, reassuring them that the ‘vast majority’ of food and medical supplies are unaffected by the ban.
