New assisted dying bill to be debated in Parliament

A new bill which aims to give terminally ill people the right to end their own life has entered Parliament.

Disability rights campaigners and religious groups are among those opposing plans to legalise assisted dying.

All previous law change attempts have failed due to strong opposition, but the new bill aiming to give terminally ill people in England and Wales the right to end their own life has been introduced.

Sky’s Becky Johnson has spoken to one of its strongest proponents.
