Kent Council issues legal threat over migrant concerns

Kent County Council has warned that its services are being overwhelmed by the number of unaccompanied children crossing the Channel in small boats.

The local authority has begun legal action against the Home Secretary, and is demanding that other councils take what it calls ‘their fair share’.

Priti Patel had previously blamed social media companies for promoting people smuggling with videos of the dangerous journeys, and asked for them to be taken down.
