After meeting with detained migrant children, Vice President Kamala Harris declared Friday that “we’ve made progress” on the crisis at the US-Mexico border — despite the fact that data shows a record number of illegal crossings continues to grow.
Harris gave the overly rosy take while hosting a roundtable discussion with nonprofit leaders in El Paso, Texas, during her first trip to the border in her 94 days as President Biden’s point person on the crisis.
