Boris Johnson has given a news conference from isolation on the day most lockdown restrictions have ended in England.
The vaccine programme has been extended to some clinically vulnerable children aged 12 and over as well as all 17- year olds within three months of their next birthday.
Vaccine passports will also be a condition of entry to nightclubs and other crowded events from Autumn.
SAGE experts have warned we are heading into the ‘biggest wave of COVID infection that we’ve ever seen’.
