Afghanistan: Interpreters plea for the lives of their families

Afghan interpreters who worked for British forces are now hiding from the Taliban and begging the UK government to grant them asylum.

Taliban has largely taken control of the northern city  of Kunduz as government forces struggle following the withdrawal of most US-led troops.

Our Foreign Affairs Editor Deborah Haynes has spoken to one man whose application to resettle here was rejected because he’d been sacked for offences he says he did not commit. In this report, his identity remains anonymous for security reasons.
