Labour MP and former soldier Dan Jarvis says those who served in Afghanistan “can be extremely proud of their service”.
But the war veteran says “in the end, you have to conclude that no it wasn’t worth it. It is heartbreaking to have to admit”.
Mr Jarvis also points out that 457 British soldiers lost their lives in Afghanistan and thousands more sustained life-changing injuries.
