As COVID cases surge across Europe, Ed Conway looks at how many more people could die in the UK if we are hit with a similar wave.
So far 167, 646 Britons have died in the pandemic – 16,163 of them since May.
Britain has high levels of vaccinations, especially among vulnerable groups.
Will that be enough to prevent a high number of deaths this winter?
