The head of the UK’s Health Security Agency has told Sky News she’s reassessing her earlier statement that Omicron is the biggest threat since the pandemic began.
However, Dr Jenny Harries did caution that it was too early to tell the true severity of the strain, as people aged over 60 are only now beginning to catch it.
