Sad news for Arianators in Tampa and Orlando, our girl Ariana Grande is incredibly sick and has had to postpone her Sweetener World Tour shows in those two cities.
What’s up guys? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and Ariana Grande had no choice but to cancel two of her shows and she is quote, “beyond devastated.”
Ari took to Instagram to admit she woke up feeling sick and after seeing a doctor, she is forced to postpone two of her highly anticipated shows.
She wrote quote, “i woke up incredibly sick today, ran to my doctor here and have been told to postpone these shows tonight and tomorrow. i’m so beyond devastated. i will make this up to you, i promise. please forgive me. i love you and i will be back and better than ever as soon as possible. love you.”
Ariana then explained what steps fans should take with the ticket company, Live Nation and said the show will be rescheduled for November.
She said quote, “Live Nation will be in touch with you all asap regarding your tickets and when we will be returning. Thank you so much for understanding and can’t wait to see you and make it up to you.”
Her Sweetener World Tour was supposed to go until mid October, but now it will go through November with the reschedule.
Live Nation tweeted that the new dates for the Tampa and Orlando shows are November 24th and November 25th.
And fans who were hoping to see Ariana this week are disappointed, but also wanted her to take care of herself. Fans just want what’s best for their queen.
One person tweeted quote, “THE ARIANA GRANDE CONCERT IS CANCELLED NOBODY TALK TO ME”
And another said quote, “@arianagrande we love you ? pls don’t apologize, ur human and we understand (‘: please rest up and take care, ur health comes first always. Ily”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
I can only imagine how tough touring is and if doctors are ordering her to rest, we’ve gotta respect that.
Ariana herself has opened up about how physically and emotionally draining touring is.
She said in a since deleted tweet that making music is healing but performing it is like quote, “reliving it all over again and it is hell.”
So while it’s unclear what she’s sick with, it seems like with a little R&R, she’ll be back on the stage in no time.
According to Live Nation she’s still scheduled to perform in Miami later this week.
So for now, we just wish Ariana a speedy recovery and hope she gets back to belting out beautiful melodies soon.
