Paranormal researcher Dan Rivera, 54, passed away after concluding the Annabelle tour in Gettysburg. A U.S. Army veteran and lead investigator with the New England Society for Psychic Research, Rivera was a Connecticut native entrusted with the care of the infamous doll that inspired The Conjuring franchise, continuing the legacy of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Rivera was found in his hotel room on Sunday night. According to the coroner’s office and state police, his death was not suspicious, and Annabelle was not present at the time.
While the future of the society without Rivera remains uncertain, NESPR has affirmed their commitment to honoring his legacy by continuing with this year’s scheduled events.
