2027 Land Rover Range Rover Electric
Overview
The Range Rover Electric marks Land Rover’s flagship model entering the fully electric era. It looks nearly identical to the gas-powered version but runs on a dual electric motor setup, producing 542 horsepower with all-wheel drive.
Pricing
Expected to start around $140,550 and go up to $270,000 depending on trim and options.
Performance
The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system includes traction management that reacts to wheel slip in 50 milliseconds. It can go 0-60 mph in a claimed 4.3 seconds, faster than the Cadillac Escalade IQ’s tested 4.5 seconds despite having less horsepower.
Range and Charging
A 118.5-kWh battery delivers an EPA-estimated 333 miles per charge. On a 350-kW DC fast charger, it can go from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes.
Interior and Comfort
The cabin features rich leathers and woods, with a leather-free option using wool or other textiles. Seating configurations include four, five, or seven seats. The third row has limited headroom for tall adults but works fine for kids and shorter passengers.
Cargo Space
Standard-length models hold up to 40.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 83.5 cubic feet with seats stowed. Long-wheelbase models offer up to 92.8 cubic feet total. An optional motorized divider and a flip-down tailgate add practicality.
Infotainment
A 13.1-inch curved touchscreen runs Land Rover’s Pivi Pro system, with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa built in. Audio options range from a 15-speaker standard system up to a 21-speaker SV Electrostatic system with seat-embedded tactile bass transducers.
Safety
Standard features include automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Crash-test results were not yet available at the time of writing.
Pending Information
The manufacturer had not yet released details on towing/payload capacity, fuel economy (MPGe), warranty coverage, and official test results.
