Woods had a prolific career in Hollywood. She starred in dozens of films and was showered with accolades and awards.
She was ahead of her times when it came to social issues as well. She was a champion for mental health, women’s rights, and equality. She constantly made her voice heard when it came to these issues.
She died on the evening of November 28, 1981. Robert Wagner, Christopher Walken, and Captain Dennis Davern took a yacht out to sea, but Woods wouldn’t return on that vessel. She was found dead. Her death was deemed an accidental drowning but many details, witnesses, and conflicting pieces of information have called into question that conclusion for decades.
