England’s new COVID-19 tiers have been set out by the Government, with more areas facing tougher restrictions in an attempt to keep infection rates down after the country leaves lockdown on December 2.
The Health Secretary Matt Hancock said most places will be placed in Tier 2, including London and Liverpool, but Birmingham and Manchester will be in Tier 3.
