Apple fires manager for alleged leaks after she claimed harassment | New York Post

Apple has reportedly fired Ashley Gjøvik, a senior engineering program manager, for allegedly leaking private company information.

Gjøvik, who’s been at the company since 2015, told The Verge that she learned Thursday her employment at Apple was being terminated, effective Friday.

The firing comes months after she went public with accusations of harassment, sexism and intimidation at Apple, claiming that senior employees kept a whiteboard tally of votes on ways to make her “life a living hell,” and weeks after she filed formal complaints with federal regulators.

Gjøvik has also said she was regularly excluded from important emails, and that some bosses would peer-pressure employees into drinking alcohol during work hours.

Gjøvik first raised concerns in March that her office was in an Apple building on a superfund site, where there’s a history of waste contamination.
