The 2019 Met Gala is almost here, but some of our faves will not be attendance.
What’s up y’all? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and we are so excited about the Met Gala this year. If you don’t know, the theme is Camp. If you don’t know what that means,
look it up, and then you will see why I’m so excited.
Anyway, even though we are so excited to see what everybody will be wearing, we now know some celebs who will not be attending.
One person who never fails to serve looks at the Met Gala is Sarah Jessica Parker! However, she will not be attending this year and neither will her BFF Andy Cohen. While talking to ET, Andy revealed why they won’t be in attendance saying QUOTE, “She’s on a plane somewhere, and I have to work.” Well that answers that.
Another celeb who won’t be attending is Ariana Grande!

But she was like, “thank u, next”! Don’t worry folks, there’s no shade though. Ari has a great reason for not attending. She will actually be on the opposite coast living her best life on tour. I had tickets, but then I didn’t.
It’s a long story.
We’ll definitely miss her, but maybe she will give us a look on stage at the Staples Center tonight.
Taraji P. Henson will also not be attending this year’s event because she will be attending John Singleton’s funeral. Taraji has been vocal about the impact of John Singleton on her life and career so this comes as no shock. She was going to attend with Vera Wang, but Vera completely understood her decision to back out at the last minute.
This next one breaks my heart and better not be true. There’s a rumor going around that Rihanna may not be attending after a list started circulating around the internet didn’t have her name on there. However the list that was circulating appears to be those on the Benefit Committee. So everyone relax and let’s get ready for what Rihanna is going to give us.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga, Serena Williams, and Harry Styles will for sure be in attendance because Anna Wintour selected them as co-chairs. We will also see Nick and Priyanka have a full-circle moment on the carpet and there will be plenty of viral moments and fashion for sure.
