Madame Tussauds famous wax museum has officially unveiled Ariana Grande’s brand new wax figure, and things are gettin’ realllll ugly.
What’s up guys, it’s your host Emile Ennis Jr. back here on Clevver News, and I’ve first gotta say that you know you made it BIG in Hollywood when a wax figure is made in your honor, so mad props to Ari… but let me just clarify that when I say things got “ugly”, I mean the backlash, the shade and most importantly the actual wax figure itself.
Last Tuesday, Madame Tussauds famous wax museum in London unveiled the final “artwork”, if that’s what we’re calling it, and unlike many other pretty accurate portrayals of Hollywood A-Listers, this time around, the internet, along with Ariana herself, had some serious questions.
Back in April, the London museum had fans weigh in on which “Ari-inspired style” they wanted for the wax figure, between “Classic Ari”, “Sassy Ari”, and “Princess Ari”. After Tuesday’s tweet revealed that fans had gone with the “Classic Ari” look, the responses of sheer terror, confusion and WTFs set in.
Fans flooded Madame Tussauds’ Twitter and Instagram accounts from comments, like QUOTE, “Y’all need to melt her face a start over because this ain’t it!!” to hilarious memes of Ariana herself in serious disapproval.
And if the fan reactions weren’t bad enough, Ariana then got word of the news and in unapologetic Ariana fashion, threw some serious shade. After entertainment news outlet Pop Crave News posted the photo, Ariana took matters into her own hands, simply writing, “I just wanna talk.”
So here’s to hoping Ariana and Madame Tussaud are able to sit down, have a lil chat, take some accurate measurements, and burn that slab of wax to the ground… k that was a little much, but maybe just take another stab at the eyebrows, eyeliner, hairline, nose… that should do it.
