Aung San Suu Kyi’s four-year sentence halved. reports say

The UN’s Human Rights Commissioner has condemned the ‘sham trial’ of Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar, after she was jailed for four years for incitement and breaking coronavirus restrictions.

State TV is now reporting that her sentence has been halved to 2 years.

The country’s democratically-elected leader was ousted in a military coup in February.
