Shadow and Bone Fans, What on Earth Do You See in This Douchebag?
Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse series of novels made a big splash in the YA realm and beyond, so it’s no surprise Netflix chose to adapt Shadow and Bone into a series. The question I still have—as a watcher, not a reader—is... what does anyone see in General Kirigan?Read more...

Juror in Derek Chauvin trial said it felt like ‘watching someone die every day’ | New York Post
http://youtu.be/dhuHZbmKWJc
A member of the jury that convicted former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin of murdering George Floyd said the trial felt like “watching someone die every day” — and that Chauvin didn’t appear to show any remorse.
Brandon Mitchell, 32 — juror 52 in the case that attracted worldwide attention — told CNN the atmosphere in the courtroom “was just dark.”
“It felt like every day was a funeral and watching someone die every day,” Mitchell told the network. “It was tense every day. I wasn’t nervous, but it was stressful. It was a lot of pressure.”
Mitchell, a basketball coach, is the first juror who deliberated in the trial to speak publicly about his experience.

Federal agents raid Rudy Giuliani’s NYC apartment | New York Post
http://youtu.be/rUN5mpKbjPU
Federal agents raided former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s Manhattan apartment and office on Wednesday morning, two law enforcement sources briefed on the matter told The Post.
The agents executed a search warrant and seized electronic devices from both locations, one source said.
The moves were tied to an investigation into Giuliani’s dealings in Ukraine, according to reports.
A resident of Giuliani’s Upper East Side building on East 66th Street said the doorman described greeting the agents at 6 a.m. and letting them pass when they displayed a search warrant.
The raid marked an escalation in the feds’ probe of the former mayor, who is being investigated over whether he illegally lobbied former President Donald Trump on behalf of officials and oligarchs in Ukraine...

VH1’s cringe-worthy ‘Fabulous’ Jeffrey Epstein show resurfaces | New York Post
http://youtu.be/OTc0FLHCFUM
It’s not exactly fabulous.
A clip of disgraced pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein on VH1’s “The Fabulous Life of…” has resurfaced.
A two-minute cringe-worthy clip from Epstein’s feature on the show was shared by a Twitter user this week and is spreading like wildfire.
“35 seconds in and you’re thinking, this won’t get worse. But it does,” wrote Eoin Higgins, who posted the video.
Epstein, who died by suicide in prison in 2019, was featured on the reality series in a 2007 episode called “The Fabulous Life of Billion Dollar Wall Street Ballers.”
The financier was revealed to have been worth around $560 million shortly before his death.

Man busted at JFK with 35 live finches stuffed inside hair curlers | New York Post
http://youtu.be/-fxYZT0myfI
A man was caught at JFK Airport on Monday allegedly trying to smuggle in 35 live finches from Guyana — stuffed inside plastic hair curlers and concealed inside his clothes, authorities said.
Kevin Andre McKenzie is just the latest alleged would-be songbird smuggler busted using the hair-accessory method to bring in the coveted creatures, which are used in high-stakes singing contests popular in Brooklyn and Queens
After McKenzie deplaned from a JetBlue flight originating in Georgetown, Guyana, CBP agents found the small seed-eating birds inside the curlers, which were covered with a mesh cloth, and then concealed inside his jacket and pants, according to the criminal complaint filed in the Eastern District of New York.
McKenzie allegedly told them he had bee...
