The trove of papers, obtained by the Wall Street Journal, show meetings between Epstein and several prominent people, including three with William Burns, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, when he was the deputy secretary of state in 2014.

A windstorm in south-central Illinois kicked up clouds of dust Monday, causing numerous crashes, pileups and “multiple fatalities” on Interstate 55, police said.
The crashes occurred late in the morning and involved 40 to 60 passenger cars and multiple tractor-trailers, two of which caught fire, Illinois State Police Maj. Ryan Starrick said. The highway was shut down in both directions in Montgomery County, 75 miles north of St. Louis.
“The cause of the crashes is due to excessive winds blowing dirt from farm fields across the highway, leading to zero visibility,” Starrick said at a news conference.

Two missing teen girls have reportedly been found dead alongside five other people on a property in Oklahoma, the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
Police recovered the bodies of Ivy Webster, 14, and Brittany Brewer, 16, of Henryetta, both of whom had been missing since Sunday night, according to News on 6 in Tulsa.
Police also found the corpse of Jesse McFadden, a 39-year-old registered sex offender who had spent 16 years in prison for rape and was scheduled for trial Monday on charges of soliciting child porn.
Authorities said the girls were last seen with McFadden.
Ivy’s father told the network that his daughter had gone to spend the weekend with McFadden and his family before without incident.

The Flint Board of Education voted unanimously to ban backpacks during a special meeting last Tuesday, weeks after voting against a proposal that would require students to use backpacks made out of clear plastic material.
