Crikey! Longtime couple Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell just got engaged on her 21st birthday and of course, there were Marsupials present.
What’s up guys? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and it’s an exciting day for everyone, but especially Australians, because our very own Bindi Irwin recently got engaged to her boyfriend of almost 6 years, Chandler Powell.
Bindi, the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, shared the exciting news on Instagram.
She wrote, “July 24th 2019. On my birthday I said ‘yes’ and ‘forever’ to the love of my life. Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness. I’m so looking forwarding to spending our forever together as your wife. Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose and unconditional love. — Now let’s get married already!”
Not to mention her ring is STUNNING. Can we get a close up on that oval?

What an exciting time for these two.
Chandler also posted on his Instagram writing quote, “She said YES! Almost 6 years ago we met at Australia Zoo. I immediately fell head over heels for her kind and thoughtful heart that radiates so much light. Proposing in her very favorite place in the zoo, surrounded by animals, seemed like the perfect way to embark on this incredible new chapter in our lives. Bee, I love you more than anything in this world and I always will. Happy Birthday.”
These two are just TOO cute.
Bindi’s entire family was there to share the special day with the happy couple and her dad was certainly there in spirit.
Also, side note, I’m taking notes because I’d like to make sure there are both koalas and pugs present for my future engagement photos. These pictures are GOALS.
And celebs and fans are flooding Bindi’s post with their congratulations.
Fellow Australian, Ruby Rose wrote quote, “Oh my goodness I’m so happy for you”
And Bindi’s winning Dancing With The Stars partner, Derek Hough, wrote quote, “So happy for the 2 of you 🙂 Loving congratulations.”
Bindi also told People Magazine that quote, “I’ve met my soulmate and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Chandler. We’ve been together for nearly 6 years now and he’s my happily ever after.”
What a special birthday! I can’t wait to see how many animals are in their wedding party.
