Boris Johnson’s moral authority in question, as Plan B restrictions are announced

The PM announced England’s move to Plan B COVID restrictions on the same day he’s questioned over whether or not No 10 broke COVID-19 rules last Christmas.

Mandatory face masks for indoor venues, work from home when possible and COVID passports for events are just some of the restrictions the Government have put in place to try and slow the spread of the Omicron variant.

The Prime Minister’s spokesperson Allegra Stratton resigned after footage of her joking with other Downing Street aides about a Christmas ‘party’ last year while in lockdown was released.

Boris Johnson apologised for the ‘offence’ the footage caused.
