BREAKING: Budget 2021: Chancellor Rishi Sunak defends ‘fair’ tax threshold freeze

The Chancellor has told Sky News the tax changes in the Budget are “fair”. The level above which people pay income tax will be frozen at £12,570 from next year until 2026.

Meanwhile, the threshold for higher rate income tax will be frozen at £50,270.
