COVID-19: 'Vaccines working against Indian variant'

Matt Hancock says the Indian variant does not appear to be affecting older people who have received two jabs.

The Health Secretary said 2,323 cases of the strain had been found so far in England and early evidence shows it is more transmissible, but it is not known to what extent.

There are fears the variant may knock the lockdown roadmap off course.
