COVID-19: Fully vaccinated people won't need to isolate conditionally from mid-August

The Health Secretary Sajid Javid has announced that from August 16th, people who have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine will not have to self-isolate if they come into contact with an individual who is COVID positive.

However they will have to take a PCR test and anyone who tests positive will have to self-isolate.

Mr Javid announced that these changes would also apply to children and young people in education, ready for the Autumn term.
