India’s prime minister says the country is aiming to hit net zero by 2070.

Narendra Modi has laid out some of his country’s goals when it comes to the climate.

One of his aims is for the nation to emit one billion fewer tons of carbon by 2030, with 50% of energy being provided by renewable sources by then.
