A report into how Martin Bashir secured the Panorama interview with Princess Diana has concluded that the journalist was “deceitful” in his dealings with her.
Lord Dyson’s investigation found the journalist had acted “inappropriately” and was in “serious breach” of BBC guidelines by using fake bank statements to help set up the 1995 interview.
