The UK medicines regulator, MHRA, has approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for 12 to 15-year-olds saying ‘the benefits of the vaccine outweigh any risks.’
The MHRA surveyed 2,000 children and the ones who took the Pfizer vaccine did not go on to develop COVID-19.
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) will review these findings before it can be added to the vaccine programme.
