COVID-19: 'No need to produce certificates for shops or pubs'

Boris Johnson has dismissed the notion of British people needing to produce a coronavirus certificate while attending hospitality venues in the UK.

The Prime Minister said that “COVID status certificates” might be necessary for international travel, but that there was “absolutely no question” of them being needed from 12 April in the United Kingdom.
