COVID-19: Over-50s to get booster jabs

Booster COVID jabs will be offered to people aged 50 and over, those in care homes, and frontline health and social care workers, the government has announced.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) said ideally the Pfizer vaccine should be used for a booster, or alternatively a half-dose of a Moderna jab.
