Transport Secretary says petrol stations are seeing the 'first signs of stabilisation'

Transport secretary Grant Shapps says forecourts are having fewer problems with petrol supplies than in recent days as we see the “first, very tentative, signs of stabilisation.”

He also urged people not to fill water bottles with fuel saying it was “dangerous and unhelpful” after reports some motorists had resorted to drastic measures to ensure they didn’t run out.
