Kwasi Kwarteng has tried to reassure people in Britain that gas supply this winter was “not a cause for immediate concern”.
It comes after the Business Secretary held meetings with Senior Energy Executives to discuss the impact of high prices which is being blamed on high global demand, maintenance issues and lower solar and wind energy output.
