A joint statement from EU and UK leaders has said that differences remain and negotiations are stuck on three critical issues.
Talks will resume in Brussels on Sunday, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will meet on Monday to see if any progress has been made.
