Unfortunately, over the weekend, BTS’s Jungkook was involved in a car accident. Luckily no one was severely injured, but he is under investigation by Seoul police. What’s up? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and on Saturday Jungkook was involved in a car accident after his Mercedes Benz crashed into a taxi in the Hannam district of Seoul, South Korea.Thank goodness no one was severely hurt, but according to E! News, both parties sustained minor bruises. Following the incident, Jungkook was allegedly questioned by the police, where he admitted that he caused the accident. His management company, Big Hit Entertainment, also released a statement. Luckily, the case has been considered minor, because there was no human or property damage and police confirmed to ABC News that alcohol was NOT a factor in the crash. And, of course, the ARMY was very concerned for Jungkook. After news of the accident was released, fans on Twitter began sending their well wishes to the BTS member. The hashtag #Jungkookweloveyou was flooded with messages from fans and they appreciated that he owned up to making a mistake.

And we love the ARMY support and agree that Jungkook handled the situation well. And this news surely didn’t overshadow BTS’s big weekend at the Europe Music Awards.Jungkook was there with all the other members of BTS to accept the awards for Best Live Artist and Biggest Fans. They were nominated for three awards and took home two in categories where they were up again some of the other biggest names in music like — Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift. And BTS was not the only K pop group that won at the EMAs. Rookie group ATEEZ won Best Korean Act.And NCT127 got the honor of being the first K-pop act to ever play live at the EMAs. Their performance of Highway To Heaven was the first time they have performed the English version at a televised event and they killed it.So yes, it was safe to say that K pop was very represented at the EMAs and we were so here for it. Unfortunately though for some of the other big nominees it wasn’t as successful of a night.Ariana Grande who was one of the leaders in nominations with seven nods didn’t take home any awards. Lil Nas X, who broke records with Old Town Road, also lost out in all his categories. So it was a big deal for BTS to take home two of the biggest awards. And their fans know it. They have been all over Twitter congratulating them on the big wins. And we are just glad BTS is fully back in action after their hiatus. We all know that BTS took some time away from the spotlight to rest and recharge.

The boys are taking over the world again, not that they ever stopped even when they were on break, honestly. And with the upcoming American Music Awards happening later this month, we know that the BTS guys will be taking home even more awards.

The nominations came out late last month, and this year, BTS is up for three honors: Favorite Social Artist, Tour of the Year, and Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock. BTS has been to the AMAs before, but this year is sure to big their biggest one yet.Last year they were nominated and won for Favorite Social Artist, but it’s clear that this year they are being taken more seriously. When it comes to their 2019 nominations, BTS is now being recognized not just for their online popularity, but also for their actual work.We all know that their online fame is unmatchable, but the nominations the band received show that the group is being treated as just another musical act, as opposed to a foreign outlier. And it’s about time! But I want to know what you guys think about all this BTS new. Were you concerned about Jungkook when you heard about the car accident? Did you catch any of the EMA’s over the weekend to see their wins? And what do you think about these AMA nominations? It’s about time they are taken seriously right?Let me know what you think down in the comments below. Then, while you’re down there, I really want you to come back, so why not hit that subscribe button.
