The Chancellor has announced eight new areas will become ‘freeports’, designed to encourage a green industrial revolution and which he says are only possible because the UK as left the European Union.
The areas named include East Midlands Airport, Felixstowe and Harwich, Humber, Liverpool City Region, Plymouth, Solent, Thames and Teesside.
