China: Subway passengers drown as ‘heaviest rain in 1,000 years’ hits country

Parts of China have witnessed the “heaviest rain in 1,000 years”.

In what looked like scenes out of a horror movie, passengers drowned in train carriages underground as more than 20cm of rain fell in an hour on the city of Zhengzhou.
