Chrissy Teigen has many homes. The one she shares with John and Luna. Their gifted airBNB rental homes. And, of course, the home where she spends most of her time – Twitter.
What’s up guys it’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and I don’t know any celebrity who enjoys having it out with strangers online more than Chrissy Teigen and to be honest, it’s one of the reasons we love her.
Sure, sometimes it can get very personal very quickly. And that’s no fun at all.
But that’s why Chrissy takes it upon herself to defend OTHER people online. She can stick up for her friends while still taking the Twitter troll focus away from her and her children.
This time, she’s defending someone who only comes on Twitter every now and then to cause panic or excitement among the masses of her millions of fans.
Because personally, Taylor Swift prefers Tumblr to Twitter.
But Twitter is Chrissy’s playground. Her happy place. Her dojo. And today, it was just that when she went on the offense against a troll trying to police Taylor’s body.
This man, Stefan Molyneux, who apparently runs a show all about philosophy, tweeted “I can’t believe Taylor Swift is about to turn 30 – she still looks so young!”
Right… some might think this is bad taste to say but not the worst thing in the world. But it gets worse… and weirder.
He went on to say: “It’s strange to think that 90% of her eggs are already gone – 97% by the time she turns 40 – so I hope she thinks about having kids before it’s too late! She’d be a fun mom. :)”
Ummmm….. Sir you’ve got the wrong number. I think you meant to type “1-800-Nobody-Asked”.
Before Chrissy even saw the tweet, the general population rained down on Mr Molyneux, saying things like
“no woman owes anyone children. no woman needs kids to be happy.”
And “Kinda gross to be sitting around thinking about young women and their unfertilized eggs.”
And instead of taking a step back, philosophizing where he went wrong, he decided to double down and reply to a bunch of the people who disagreed with him, calling them names like “hysterical”.
He even went as far as to tweet again, this time quoting Taylor Swift, saying “Ohhh, I see. Taylor Swift said this: “Hey, just so you know, we’re more than incubators.” So she’s helping to program young women – who mostly lack her talents, wealth and fame – to reject motherhood. Very nasty.”
Hey, Twitter, is there any reason why this man is verified and I’m not?
Yep it’s all just very gross. And highly unnecessary! What does it matter to anyone whether Taylor Swift has children or not?
Well turns out he wrote a book called “The Art of the Argument”…
And if he’s looking for an argument, I guess he’s come to the right place. Because here comes Chrissy Teigen.
She had a simple, yet effective come back to his side of the argument.
It was “uhhh you’re a fuckin’ weird ass”.
But it seems like he hasn’t yet learned the idea that women have their own opinions that don’t all involve motherhood.
Because he’s STILL tweeting things like “I really hope that Taylor Swift can escape the sociopathic “motherhood is just breeding” propaganda and be open to the deep joys of motherhood. Some very sinister people are lying to millions of young women.”
Look, if you want to be a mom, great! If you don’t want to be a mom, great! If you maybe sometime in the future want to be a mom and feel that the human lifespan is much longer than what it used to be and you really aren’t too worried about it right now, great!
What’s not great is having expectations for other people’s bodies and choices and fans have chimed in including Chrissy Teigen to say these kind of comments and expectations are not ok.
So what do you guys think? Was this man out of line with his comments? And do you love it when you see Chrissy Teigen chime in with her Twitter thoughts? Let me know in the comments section below!
