Shortly after she and Liam split, she was seen with Brody Jenner’s ex-Kaitlynn Carter. They seemed very happy together, so it was shocking when they broke up after only a month long fling. But there was actually a reason for it. TMZ was first to report that Miley got a little freaked out over how quickly her relationship with Kaitlynn was moving, so she pulled back and moved on.And when I say moved on, I mean literally moved on to Cody Simpson. And in case you still don’t know why you recognize Cody, but can’t seem to place him, he was Disney adjacent starting in like 2013 and he’s dated a lot of other A-listers like Gigi Hadid and Kylie Jenner.And now he can add Miley Cyrus to that list.
The two have been flaunting their relationship on social media ever since they got caught smooching over acai bowls a couple weeks ago. And since then, Cody hasn’t shied away from sharing deets on their romance. He’s shared these pics to his stories where he called Miley “Baby.”He also shared this pic of him kissing Miley’s forehead and captioned it “pre swim breakfast courtesy of baby.” Then Miley shared a series of photos of Cody visiting her in the hospital where she was being treated for tonsillitis. Here’s a snap of her cuddling up to Cody Simpson on that twin size hospital bed. And of course he had to bring his guitar with him. And so it’s very safe to say these two are feeling very lovey dovey about each other.But now, Cody’s opened up even more about his relationship with Miley and it wasn’t just on an IG story.
While attending an event in Los Angeles on Friday, Cody spoke to reporters.According to People Magazine, he said quote, “I’m very happy. We are very, very happy. She’s creative. She’s very passionate about what she does, and I’m very similar in that sense. That’s why we get along so well.”He continued on and said quote, “We just have a ball, yeah, and that’s the most important part of a relationship, you know? The reason why it hasn’t been a really crazy sudden thing is just because we’ve been friends for so long. We found each other again in a space where we’re both not partying, working real hard, and it just keeps things healthy and it’s good.”And honestly, it sounds really happy and healthy for both of them, so I ship it.Cody also said quote, “Any girlfriends I’ve had in the past has always been immediate romance and so it’s a different experience having been friends with somebody before and it developing naturally into something more.”
And while Cody opened up to the press about their love this weekend, of course, they are still packing on the PDA on social media.And if were any of Miley or Cody’s exes… if you haven’t already, now feels like a good time to mute their stories.Especially after what they posted last night.Cody posted a quick video of him and Miley lying in bed. But that’s not all. They took their romance to new heights as they touched tongues and cuddled.They were rocking the Joker filter on Insta and that’s about it. Very little clothes were worn in this IG story, but at least they were getting into the Halloween spirit.And plenty of fans are shipping these two on Twitter.
And we couldn’t agree more. Speaking of people that are happy, Miley’s ex Liam seems to be doing really well too.Last Thursday, news broke that Liam is dating Australian actress Maddison Brown, and since then the internet has pretty much exploded over the news.But Liam seems to be doing things a little differently than Miley. An inside source told People that quote, “It’s very new. Liam is taking it slow but he’s definitely interested in her.” And another source told Us Weekly that quote, “He’s so into Maddison and really likes her. Liam feels like Maddison gets him and understands him, partly because she is also Australian. They also both share similar senses of humor…Spending time with Maddison has been natural, fun and easy for Liam.”The source went on to add that Liam has been quote “trying to move on from Miley with the encouragement of his family.”And from the looks of Liam and Maddison’s recent sidewalk PDA sesh, it seems like he’s definitely moving on and looks super happy.We’re just happy to see that both he and Miley are happy and in better places.They both seem to be thriving in their post-divorce lives. And if I had to guess, based on how they are both moving on, it seems like Miley and Liam may have been done long before we found out about it.
