Health Secretary, Sajid Javid has made clear that the Government’s Plan B for dealing with COVID would be triggered by excessive pressure on the NHS.
But with Government scientific advisers suggesting that the hospitalisation rate could reach between two and seven thousand per day next month, there are concerns within the health service that any ramping up of restrictions would come too late to make any difference.
