COP26: Scientists say Amazon rainforest is at 'tipping point'

Scientists say the Amazon is nearing its so-called ‘tipping point’, the point at which the rainforest loses the ability to sustain itself.

The consequences of this could release colossal levels of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and virtually sabotage attempts to limit global climate change.
