Matt Hancock has urged everyone to get both vaccinations and stem the spread of the Indian variant of the coronavirus.
The Health Secretary said there are now almost 3,000 cases of the variant in the UK.
He said the government would decide on 14 June whether the 21 June full easing of lockdown would go ahead.
