COVID-19: Holidays will be different to the old days, despite new ‘green list’ destinations

The transport secretary says holidays abroad won’t be like they were in 2019, despite destinations such as Ibiza and Majorca being added to the ‘green list’.

Spain’s Balearic Islands, which include Ibiza, Menorca, Majorca and Formentera; Malta; Madeira; and some islands in the Caribbean – including Barbados – have been cleared for quarantine-free travel, Grant Shapps has announced.

Those returning from green locations are not required to self-isolate but they must take one post-arrival coronavirus test.
