One of Britain’s leading vaccine scientists has said it is extraordinary that a jab has been developed safely in just 10 months.
Professor Robin Shattock, who is leading the development of a vaccine at Imperial College London, spoke of his pride that Pfizer/BioNTech’s jab had been shown to be effective just months after COVID-19 emerged in Wuhan, China.
