England’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer has repeated his most famous warning to those enjoying new freedoms after the easing of lockdown.
Jonathan Van-Tam said those living in areas suffering a surge in the Indian coronavirus variant should act cautiously and “think about the freedoms” they’ve been given.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the government would decide on 14 June whether the 21 June full easing of lockdown would go ahead.
