The 21st June may still be in the diary for the next stage of the road map out of lockdown, but the latest data indicates that particular road seems to narrow with each passing day.
The daily number of cases rose above 6,000 once more, while in Greater Manchester and parts of Lancashire, millions of people have been advised to constrain their activities, due to a rise in cases of the Delta variant.
