COVID-19: Pfizer boss says there is ‘real light at the end of the tunnel’

The chief executive of pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has told Sky News his company is ready to send out doses of its COVID-19 vaccine “within hours” of receiving official approval.

Albert Bourla says he’s optimistic that by the second half of 2021, a successful jab will mean life could largely return to normal.

Mr Bourla described the day he was told of the vaccine’s success as “the most brilliant day of my life”.

He spoke exclusively to Sky News’ Adam Parsons.
