Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has defended scrapping pre-departure tests for fully vaccinated people returning to England, saying testing for Omicron has ‘outlived its usefulness’.
He told Sky’s Jayne Secker that as Omicron is now global we need to keep travel measures ‘in line’
with what’s going on with the variant around the world
